‘Call Of Duty: Ghosts’ Update: Recent Xbox One Patch Causes Performance Issues; Framerate Dips Experienced Most Notably In Stonehaven Map

Unfortunately, the most recent "Call of Duty: Ghosts" update for Xbox One introduced performance issues in the game.

Particularly, the "Call of Duty: Ghosts" update is causing framerate dips on one of the new maps from the Onslaught DLC pack, as posted on IGN. The release of the Call of Duty: Ghosts update happened together with the launch of the Onslaught DLC. But since then, Xbox One players started to notice the framerate issues.

More specifically, the performance problems introduced by the recent Call of Duty: Ghosts update are highly noticeable in the Stonehaven level of the game. A report from Eurogamer: Digital Foundry reads, "Kicking off with a look at Stonehaven, it's immediately obvious that things are not quite right."

It further stated:

While the game does indeed hit 60 FPS in this stage, frame-rates are dramatically impacted when the whole level is in view, with metrics varying between 46-60 FPS as we run across the landscape. As frame-rates fall below the desired 60 FPS target, we also see the appearance of some screen-tear, adding some judder, making drops in smoothness more noticeable.

Moreover, the Call of Duty; Ghosts also caused the framerate to drop when looking down the scope of a sniper rifle. It decreases down to mid-30 FPS, compared to the normal 60 frames per second rate of the Call of Duty series.
