"Suits" season 3 will definitely be exciting as former Olympian gold medalist Michael Phelps will make a cameo in the television series when it resumes its mid-season premiere on March 6 on USA Network.

Hollywood Reporter stated that the all-world swimmer will appear "as one of the top names Harvey has been unable to close as a client."

Michael Phelps also announced on his Twitter account, with 1.4 million followers, about his appearance on the show.

According to The Epoch Times, it took a long time for producers to sign on Michael Phelps to do a cameo since he revealed that he was a fan of the show on July 30 last year.

He tweeted: "Suits season three is awesooommeee!!!"

One of "Suits" producers, Charlie Ebersol, reportedly contacted Michael Phelps but not before the stars, Patrick J. Adams, Maghan Markle and Sarah Rafferty launching their own recruiting campaigns by doing selfies with a cutout of the swimmer and posting the photos on Instagram, The Epoch Times added.

Meanwhile, "Suits" Season 3 will feature Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) having a very important flashback to a time when th high profile lawyer was still going up in the world and how he became what he is today.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Gabriel Macht-who plays Harvey Specter in the show-revealed that the show will jump back 10 years in what he described as "sort of an origin story."

"We see where Harvey was when he was working for the district attorney. Gary Cole, who played the DA in season one, comes back in the season three flashback and becomes involved in the case Harvey's taken on," he said.

"We see how Harvey and the DA had a very strong relationship that then splintered off, and we see the origin of Harvey and Donna, and why they are the way they are," Gabriel Macht added.

"And you'll see the reasons why they've had to put it at bay, I'll leave it at that!" Gabriel Macht told Digital Spy.

Right before the mid-season break of "Suits," it was revealed that when Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) went snooping around in the Harvard Law School file room, he did not find a single document detailing the academic records of Ross (Patrick J. Adams).
