Sword Art Online Season 2 Unveils Character Designs Featuring Kirito As Hollow Fragment Introduces New Character: Will Phantom Bullet Have Release Date Alongside PSP Vita Game?

As fans patiently wait for "Sword Art Online" season 2, brand new character designs for "Phantom Bullet" have surfaced.

From the designs, we can see inspiration by the theme of "Sword Art Online" season 2, which will reportedly feature firearms, knives, and lifesaber-like weapons.

Based off of the Reki Kawahara novels, Crunchyroll reports that "Sword Art Online" season 2 will revolve around the massively multiplayer online game Gun Gale Online.

According to AnimeNewsNetwork, voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will reprise his role as protagonist Kirito, and Miyuki Sawashiro will reprise her role as Shinon from the PSP game "Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment."

You can check out Kirito and Shinon in the "Sword Art Online" season 2 character designs, as well as other supporting characters we will meet in "Phantom Bullet."

No word yet on a release date for "Sword Art Online" season 2, but with a teaser trailer out already, hopefully it will be in the coming months.

Meanwhile, much hype is also surrounding Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, the upcoming game for PlayStation Vita.

According to Siliconera, a new character will be introduced called Philia, a character with a shady background, but may be Kirito's ally.

As Kirito in Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, you can partner with Philia, but Leafa, Asuna, and Silica are also options.

Could season 2 have a release date alongside Hollow Fragment on April 24.
