Demi Lovato’s ‘Neon Lights’ Tour 2014 Kickstarts With Nick Jonas In Canada; Joe Jonas’ Ex Unaffected By X Factor’s Cancellation?

Demi Lovato successful "Neon Lights" Tour 2014, which kickstarted with Nick Jonas in Vancouver, Canada on Sunday, showed the "Skyscrapper" singer seemed to be unaffected by the cancellation of "X Factor."

Nick Jonas went on stage and sang three songs with Demi Lovato during the first night of "Neon Lights" Tour 2014 even if his official title was "creative and musical director" of the entire tour, MailOnline reported. The two are very good friends, and Demi Lovato used to date Nick Jonas' brother, Joe Jonas.

She said that she hired Nick Jonas after hearing his ideas. "So it's turned out amazing and like 90 percent is his work," MailOnline reported.

The cancellation of "X Factor," where Demi Lovato sat as one of the judges, was farthest from her mind as she belted "Catch Me," "Stop the World" and "Here We Go Again" with Nick Jonas.

In previous interviews, Demi Lovato couldn't contain her excitement when talking about the "Neon Lights" tour.

"This is bigger and better than any show I've ever put on," she said. "It's a completely different tour. It's kind of just the next step of my career, and 2014 is going to be f***ing amazing."

She also tweeted in her official account @ddlovato before the show: "Good news and bad news. Bad news, the top of my deodorant fell off this morning. Good news: OH MY GOD IT'S THE FIRST SHOW TONIGHT!!!!"

Fox cancelled the "X Factor" USA after Simon Cowell begged off the show citing the need to travel between Los Angeles and London where he will be judging the original version of the show, according to Washington Post.

Kevin Reilly, Fox entertainment chairman said in a statement: "Unfortunately, there is no 'X Factor USA' without Simon Cowell but we understand and support his decision to focus on the international formats and on the next phase of his personal life."
