The ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' Update: Philip Seymour Hoffman To Be Digitally Edited In The Film's Ending?

Apart from its saddening impact to Hollywood, Philip Seymour Hoffman's death will also affect the 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' movie. In the second film adaptation of the franchise entitled 'Catching Fire', Hoffman played a pivotal role as Plutarch Heavensbee.

How will 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part1' push through with the revolution of Plutarch Heavensbee is gone? While the story is not wholly dependent on his character, his absence in the scenes will be noticeable.

Several reports claim that producers of the dystopian film franchise are highly considering computer imagery to include the head game maker in the movie's concluding scene.

"The filmmakers behind the 'Hunger Games' movies will digitally recreate late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman in a major yet-to-be-shot scene. Editors will use computer graphics and camera tricks, instead of rewriting the script, to film at least one heartfelt scene featuring Hoffman's character," claims the report.

When Philip Seymour Hoffman died last Sunday because of alleged heroin overdose, his scenes in the 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' have not been completed yet. The 46-year-old actor was found lifeless in his New York City apartment with a needle on his left arm.

Despite the cast and crew members' grief, the 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay  Part 1' release date on November 21 will remain unmoved.
