Nicole Scherzinger May Exit `X Factor’ Just As Simon Cowell Returns; Maybe They Can’t Be Seen in the Same Room?

Nicole Scherzinger may be exiting Britain's talent TV show "X Factor." The word comes out just days after Simon Cowell announced his big X Factor return. Wait, have we ever seen Nicole Scherzinger in the same room as Cowell?

According to reports, Nicole gave word to Simon that she wants to focus on recording her first new album of new material since 2011's "Killer Love."

Word is that former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger is giving up her place on the judging panel of "The X Factor" to relaunch her music career. Scherzinger started as a judge on the American version of "X Factor" in 2006 and then went across the pond to take her place on the British panel for two seasons starting in 2012.

Nicole isn't the only "X Factor" judge on her way to being an ex. Louis Walsh also hinted that he was quitting, but hasn't really made up his mind. Gary Barlow already announced he is leaving and ex-judge Cheryl Cole is expected to return. Simon Cowell, who created the show, will return to the UK panel now that the U.S. version of The X Factor has been cancelled.

Word that Nicole Scherzinger is leaving the show hasn't been confirmed and talks may still be happening.

Scherzinger told the media she'd be in England in 2014 for "music and a lot of new projects. In January I plan to finish my album and my focus will be on my music. I'm just living in the moment right now. I've really enjoyed my time here [but] I'm excited to focus on my music next year."

An insider told the British magazine 3am "Yes she is going to release an album and needs to promote it around the world, but she loves the show and has made a home for herself in the U.K. She was really homesick the first year she did The X Factor, but now it's become her family and isn't sure about leaving that behind. She adores the British public."

The Brits love her back. According the a poll in England's Telly Mix poll found 52% of people wanted her to come back. Cheryl Cole pulled in only 25% of the vote. There is speculation that Cheryl Cole will replace Nicole on the panel, but the other name going round is Rita Ora.

A source told MailOnline "The reason she is agonizing over this decision is because the British public made her so welcome. This year she made so many friends on the show and they became her family."

Scherzinger had that sexy X factor on the show herself, wearing a sexy and revealing dresses during the live shows.

Last Friday, Simon Cowell, announced that the U.S. version of X Factor USA was cancelled due to low ratings.
