A new character in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is The Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen. However, she is not a newbie in the comics. Her costume is a vital part of her character (it has to be Scarlet!) but it might be one of the things that they will change.

The classic gown-like Scarlet Witch costume will apparently not appear on the film. Olsen herself has mentioned that there will be a costume makeover.

Olsen had an interview with Total Film: "I don't think Joss ever would have hired me, honestly, if he wanted me to wear those outfits; I am not a professional athlete and nor am I a model. Wearing those costumes wouldn't be fun for anyone who wasn't those things. He already had a different idea. It respects and involves the comic-book character but it's different, more rooted. It's for someone today."

Why not stick to the original costume?"Well, if someone walked around wearing what she wore in the comics, people would stop and say, 'What the hell... she thinks she's a superhero!'"

She also reveals that they actually had a 'secrecy cloak' to ensure that the costume would not be leaked while they're filming. "We've done some costume stuff, yeah! My favourite piece is my secrecy cloak that prevents anyone from seeing what I'm wearing. There's a hood, and a robe - it protects the image!"

According to Comic Book Movie, the cast and crew have covertly commenced shooting in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Elizabeth Olsen already teased her character in a previous interview, and aside from the secrecy cloak, She is also on the 'secrecy vow.' From Ain't It Cool News, some tidbits on her character and even her powers, which was always rather vague: "She's nuts, she's crazy. She has more things wrong with her than any character I've ever played. She can tell you where an object has been, she can tell you what your future is, she can connect with the dead and people from other universes, and she's the only person in this universe who's capable of doing that."

Looks like a perfect character to bring about the transition to the cosmic realms in Phase Three!

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be shown in theatres on May 1, 2015.
