NCAA March Madness 2014: Syracuse Buzzer Beater Keeps Them Undefeated![VIDEO] Greatest Rivalry In College Basketball Delayed By Snowstorm!

The countdown to March Madness 2014 commences. Prior to the conference tournaments, the teams must establish their resume to qualify for the at-large selections.

It helps to be undefeated, and Syracuse recently escaped their first defeat from the hands of Pittsburgh, who were playing at their homecourt. The hero for the Syracuse Orangemen, freshman Tyler Ennis.

From ESPN: "I saw someone ran over to Trevor and I just had to beat one guy. I knew they weren't going to let Trevor (Cooney)get it. I just had to get some space. I knew I could get open for a second."

Pitt Coach Jamie Dixon, obviously smarting from the loss, had a sportsman's demeanor: "We guarded it about as well as you could guard it. He made about a 40-footer. We did what we were supposed to do. If we had to do it again. ... We did the right things. They were going to get a shot off. He made it, and he made a tough one. We knew he'd have the ball and would be the guy. We had two guys on him. He hit the shot. Our guys defended, and he hit a shot."

Meanwhile, the greatest rivalry in college basketball, Duke Vs North Carolina, was postponed due to a snowstorm. From the Associated Press: "UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham said in a statement that Duke's bus couldn't make it to the Durham campus to pick up the Blue Devils for the 11-mile drive to Chapel Hill. He called the postponement "the best decision to make at this time" due to safety concerns.

Tar Heels coach Roy Williams took the opportunity -- in shorts, no less -- to greet fans who braved the elements to wait in line before the game was postponed.

Atlantic Coast Conference policy states that games will go on during bad weather if teams, officials and operations staffers can make it to the venue."

The game was re-scheduled on Thursday, Feb. 20. The dilemma for both teams is that they will have to play three games in one week. For Duke, they will have to sandwich that game between the Georgia Tech Game on Tuesday and hosting the no.1 team in the nation, undefeated Syracuse on Saturday.
