Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date Now Rolling Out To Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S4, Brings New SMS Improvements, S Health App, Enhanced Camera

After months of waiting, Sprint's version of the Galaxy S4 is now getting the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date.

If you own a Galaxy S4 phone exclusively from Sprint, then you may have been waiting for a while now. Good thing, the carrier has not given up on the Android update and is now rolling it out via OTA.

Under the build name L720VPUFNAE, the Android KitKat version can now be downloaded by checking your phone's About Phone - Check Updates settings.

According to the update's changelog, Kitkat will bring a number of improvements and changes which are similar to those received by other carrier-specific models.

These changes include a better SMS and Hangouts app, S Health, and an improved camera for better imaging and video recording.

The current Samsung flagship will also get KitKat-specific changes such as the 'immersive mode', and the transparent notification bar.
