Nokia Normandy Rumored To Launch With 'Ridiculously-Cheap' Price Tag, Specs Include 4" Display, Dual-Core 1GHz CPU, 5MP Camera, Android KitKat

For the past couple of months, we have been hearing a lot about the Android-powered Nokia Normandy. Now, a new report claims that the device would be priced aggressively in order to compete in the midrange market.

According to a report by BGR, an online retailer in Vietnam has listed Nokia's first Android phone at just 2.2 million to 2.5 million VND. That may look much, but in US dollars, it only costs a little over $100.

Retailer Mainguyen posted the alleged pricing of the Nokia Normandy, also known as Nokia X, through its Facebook account as well as on its website. Aside from the cheap pricing, the retailer also listed down the specs of the upcoming Android phone.

The Nokia X will allegedly come with a 4-inch WVGA screen, Snapdragon 400 chipset, dual-core CPU clocked at 1GHz, 4GB of internal memroy, 512MB of RAM, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Other specs which have been making the rounds over the Web also include a 5-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, and the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.

We expect the Nokia Normandy to finally see the light of day at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
