Upcoming Motorola Phones In 2014 To Be Sold By Lenovo To "China And Other Emerging Markets", Strategy Includes Launching Entry-Level And Premium Handsets

Motorola has recently been bought by Lenovo, but as early as now the Chinese company's CEO already has plans for upcoming Motorola phones this 2014.

If you are a fan of the company once owned by Google, then you may become disappointed that new handsets by Motorola would initially make their way to China and other emerging markets to establish the company's brand presence. Of course, if you live in China or other emerging markets in Asia, that is certainly not a problem.

That is what Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said in an interview with Bloomberg when asked what he intends to do with the pioneer mobile phone maker.

Given the marketing prowess of Lenovo in these markets, the future of Motorola is certainly promising.

"We will compete in the premium market, but this is not enough, we will also compete in the entry level", Yang said.

Motorola has launched two quality devices last year, the Moto X and the super affordable Moto G, though both handsets did not quite make the target of the company. As a result, Motorola lost $1 billion last year, which is certainly not something to be proud of.
