Doctor Who Season 8 [SPOILERS] Bringing Back Clockwork Droids From David Tennant Era? Set Filming Video Unveils Returning Actor Paul Hickey As Steven Moffat Drops Sherlock Nod!

As "Doctor Who" season 8 continues filming, spoilers regarding the return of an actor and a monster have surfaced.

Recently on Doctor Who TV, a rumor has popped up that the Clockwork Droids will make a return after being seen in 2006 in "The Girl in the Fireplace."

Spoilers confirm recently, actor Sean Ashburn updated his online CV, where he will be playing a "Restaurant Droid" in the "Doctor Who" season 8 premiere.

Although this is not a confirmation by any means, it is food for thought.

The "Doctor Who" season 8 premiere is set to take place in the Victorian era, and will feature the return of Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra, Catrin Stewart as Jenny Flint, and Dan Starkey as Strax.

Meanwhile, another minor character will be making a return in "Doctor Who."

Actor Paul Hickey was previously seen in "Vastra Investigates," a minisode from "The Snowmen" series.

Interestingly enough, his character's name on "Doctor Who" season 8 is credited as Inspector Gregson.

Leave it to Steven Moffat to drop a "Sherlock" nod.
