Lenovo Miix 2 reviews: Specs of the $300 Windows 8.1 tablet include an 8-inch size powered by an Intel Bay Trail processor and running on 2GB of RAM. The unit described as “perfect for on-the-go entertainment or productivity” is praised for its sleek build and full Windows 8.1 functions.

Specs of the Lenovo Miix 2 includes an Intel Atom Z3740 processor, which clocks in at 1.33GHz. It also has the full version of Windows 8.1 and an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution. Camera of the Lenovo Miix 2 has 5 megapixels and 2 megapixels front-facing. It has a 2GB internal memory and has a 1 Cell 17.5 Watt Hour Li-Polymer battery.

Tech Radar cites as pluses the powerful processors of the tablet. It also praises its sleek build and full Windows 8.1 functions. Laptop Mag says that the unit is lighter and thinner than competing windows tablets and that is very bright displays. The Bay Trail performance of the Windows 8.1 tablet is described by Laptop Mag as solid.

Laptop Mag concludes in their review of the Lenovo Miix 2 that the tablet packs a “zippy performance, a bright display and a full Windows 8.1 experience in a sleek 8-inch tablet.” Phone Arena highlights and praises the Lenovo Miix 2’s quad-core processor and says that it has a lot of RAM (2048 to be exact) and it supports special active stylus for input.

Some negatives of the Lenovo Miix 2 include its low-pixel density screen, its camera which lacks autofocus and its camera that lacks flash. Laptop Mag’s reservations (cited as “Cons”) for the device is its subpar audio.

Priced at $299, reviews on the Lenovo Miix 2 seems to be on the positive side. Its main competitor would be the Microsoft Surface 2, which it edges out in price and the fact that it has a full Windows 8.1 version.
