Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: Live Images Of New Midrange Handset Xperia G Leaked, Purported Specs Include 4.8" Display, 8GB Memory, 8MP Camera, LTE Connectivity

Upcoming Sony phones for 2014 are already pouring in and getting leaked way ahead of their respective launch dates. This time, a midranger handset appears in several live images.

In a report by GSM Arena, known leaker Vizileaks have posted images through Twitter about a new unannounced handset from Sony. From what we can see from the image, the handset looks similar to previous releases from the Japanese manufacturer, and that's not a bad thing.

Dubbed as the Xperia G, this midrange handset may be set to aim for emerging markets in Asia, and established ones in the US and Europe in the coming weeks. Of course, we have to see for ourselves when it gets announced at the Sony event during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

In case you are wondering about specs, Vizileaks also mentioned a number in its tweet.

The Sony Xperia G is expected to have a 4.8-inch screen probably with HD (720p) resolution, 8GB of internal memory, an 8MP primary camera, and a microSD card slot as shown by the first image which arrived several hours ago. The device may also be among the few Sony handsets with no IP rating or certification.
