Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Entry Level Dual-SIM Handset With Powerhouse Battery Launched In India, Packs 5" Screen, Quad-Core CPU, 5MP Camera

There are a number of interesting upcoming Android phones for 2014, and most of them offer a bang for your buck with their affordable price tags. 

Micromax is one of the emerging mobile makers in India, and it has recently launched an entry-level Android phone. Dubbed as the Canvas Power A96, the handset does not offer a lot of surprises except its huge battery - 4,000mAh of it. 

According to a report from GSM Arena, the entry-level handset packs a 5-inch TFT display with 480 x 854 resolution, an MTK chipset with quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory.

Other specs include a 5MP primary camera, the usual connectivity features such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. 

But if you are looking for a smartphone that will last for days without charging, then the Canvas Power A96 can surely deliver. Its 4,000mAh of battery promises 450 hours of standby if a few days are still not enough for you. 

The Micromax handset costs Rs. 9900 or about $160.
