While his character as an adventurous stripper in 'Magic Mike' might speak otherwise, Alex Pettyfer's girlfriend is lucky for he is actually a firm believer of soul mates.  However, he believes that it is possible for someone to have more than one.

A day before Valentine's, the 23-year-old hunk has been asked by Extra about his perception on the existence of true love to which he responded: "Yes, but I don't think one person can have one soul mate. This is just my view. I think you can have a couple. I think it's about connection. And it's about growing with someone."

His belief might radiate on his flick 'Endless Love' which is a remake of the 1981 love film. In an interview with V magazine, the 'I Am Number Four' actor said that though the remake was for a younger audience, the meaning would remain: "Our movie is a lot more lighthearted than the original. The problems in the movie are simplistic, but so truthful - it's about pure love."

Did he encounter difficulties in playing the role of love struck teenager David?

"I think I am most vulnerable when I have to be somewhat like myself and be more charming and lovable. It's easier for me to play darker roles. To open yourself up and open your heart, it's a scary thing. It's a scary thing in life, let alone in a movie," he said.

Alex Pettyfer's girlfriend onscreen is Gabriella Wilde who will be playing the role of a reserved girl named Jade who finds herself in a passionate relationship with David.
