Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: New Sony Tablet Appears In Leaked Press Image, Rumored Specs Include 10.1" Screen, Android KitKat, IP Certification

Sony is not that well known when it comes to upcoming Android tablets for 2014, but this upcoming device from the Japanese manufacturer could change all that.

According to a recent report from GSM Arena, notorious leakster EV Leaks has recently published an image on Twitter of what appears to be the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2.

While the tablet has not even been announced, we certainly are not surprised if Sony would soon do so - probably during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

As the successor of the Xperia Tablet Z which launched last year, this one is expected to sport a much better list of specifications, and of course Android KitKat.

However, given the image above, we can definitely see the huge bezels which surround the entire Android tablet. In the report, this is probably due to the fact that the upcoming Sony tablet is certified to be both water and dust resistant.

Purported specs of the device inlcude a 10.1-inch screen with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 800 chipset, and Android KitKat.

So are you waiting for the announcement of this device some time this month?
