Nokia Normandy Devices On Their Way To Developers In India, Report Confirms Nokia X Branding For Android-Powered Handset

We have heard so much about Nokia's first Android phone, the Nokia Normandy. A week before the MWC, a report claims that the Finnish manufacturer has already shipped a number of these devices to app developers in India.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a number of Nokia X handsets are already on their way to Indian developers. But why?

Previous rumors suggest that while the Nokia Normandy is an Android device, it would not have most Google apps and services. In addition, the device is rumored to have no access to the Play Store.

Instead, Nokia is reportedly working on to build its own Nokia store where users can download apps and games.

In another report, a Twitter post has also confirmed the Nokia X branding of the upcoming device. The low-end Nokia phone will look like an Asha and Lumia device, but pack specs similar to that of the affordable Moto G.

Rumored specs include a 4-inch display with WVGA resolution, a dual-core CPU clocked at 1GHZ, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP primary camera and Android 4.4  out of the box.
