Kate Middleton is now a godmother! Baby Prince George joined his mother at the christening of Kate Middleton's new godchild, whose mom is a close friend of the Duchess of Cambridge's from college. How many godparents does Prince George have?

According to E! News, Prince George has seven godparents, including Zara Phillips; Oliver Baker, a friend of Will and Kate's from the University of St. Andrews; Emilia Jardine-Paterson, who attended Marlborough College with Kate; and William van Cutsem, a friend of William's since childhood.

On Sunday, Kate Middleton, her husband Prince William, and baby Prince George attended the a christening ceremony at St. Barnabas Church in Essex, where the Duchess of Cambridge assumed the role of godmother to her friend's child.

"She was there as a godparent not as a princess," Rev. Ken Dunstan told the Mirror, ABC News reports. "I don't normally pay a huge amount of attention to godparents as long as the godparents are there and willing to make the appropriate promises."

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, reminded Kate Middleton that her role of godmother entails making sure that their son knows "who this Jesus is."

Kate and Prince William's seven-month-old was one of "several babies present," said Rev. Dunstan, and all the little ones "were very well-behaved."

Prince George was reportedly well-behaved at his own baptism at the Chapel Royal at St James' Palace this past October, E! News reports.

"It's the first time he's been quiet all day," Prince William joked at the time.

After Kate Middleton was officially made a godmother at the service on Sunday, they all headed back to London in time for William to attend the BAFTA Awards and Kate's engagement with The Queen on Monday evening, Royal Central reports.

The Duchess and The Queen welcomed over 250 guests to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, of which the Queen is patron, according to the website.
