Upcoming Android Phones 2014: ZTE To Unleash Monster Spec'd Successor Of The 5.7" Grand Memo, Midrange Firefox-Powered Handset

If you are on the lookout for upcoming Android phones in 2014 that both have powerful specs and affordable pricing, then you better watch out for this new release by Chinese manufacturer ZTE.

After unveiling the Grand S II at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas, ZTE now has its eyes at the MWC event in Barcelona. And from the looks of it, it plans to unveil the successor of the Grand Memo LTE it released last year.

Before we go to the rumored specs, let us first take a look at what the Grand Memo had. The Android-powered handset packs a huge 5.7-inch screen with 720p resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, quad-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel shooter.

The device also came with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, LTE, and a 3200mAh battery.

Now, given those specs we assume that ZTE will up its game more with the Grand Memo II. While the phone maker would most probably retain Snapdragon 800, it would place Full HD resolution and a bigger 6-inch display, plus potentially 3GB of RAM.

Other rumored specs also include a 16MP camera, and possibly a thinner frame.

On the other hand, the Chinese maker is also expected to announce a new Firefox OS powered device and aimed at the mass market who want to have a breath of fresh air in the midst of the sea of Android devices.
