HTC One 2 M8 Release Date Confirmed As HTC Sends Invites For March 25 Event In London And New York, Alleged Specs Include 5" 1080p Display, Dual Cameras, Snapdragon 800

For the past couple of months, we have been hearing a lot about HTC's upcoming flagship, except its HTC One 2 M8 release date. Now, the Taiwanese manufacturer might have confirmed it as hinted by its invites for a March 24 event.

According to a report by Android Authority, the HTC One successor may just make its debut on March 24, in an HTC event to be held simultaneously in New York and London. HTC recently sent invites to the press as well as some guests for the event next month.

Last year, the Taiwanese company also made a similar launch event when it announced the original One flagship in both locations as well. Unless HTC wants to change its schedule, an HTC One 2 M8 release date on March 24 is the most logical move.

The release date is also more than a month after Samsung has announced its newest Galaxy S5 flagship, leaving HTC in the dust again with the headstart it badly needs.

But is the One 2 M8 something to look forward to? As per the leaks and rumors we have seen, it is still a gorgeously-manufactured handset. It packs a 5-inch screen with 1080p display, a quad-core CPU, Snapdragon 800 chipset, dual cameras with 5MP UltraPixel sensors, Sense 6 and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

So do you think HTC's second One would help the company back on its feet?
