GTA 5 PC Release Date REVEALED: June 13 Launch Announced By Retailer

A Czech game retailer's website, SuperGamer.cz, listed that Grand Theft Auto 5's PC release date is slated for June 13, the Christian Post reports.

The site also mentions however, that the post is "a bit suspicious as on the top of the game cover that they posted says 'Games for Windows Live,' which is a name for a set of services and software Microsoft does not use any more."

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said his company has no plans to release a yearly edition of Grand Theft Auto series games, Examiner.com reports.

It is great that consumers anticipate our titles, like they anticipate the next James Bond film. Our goal is to create permanent franchises," he said, according to the site.

"With GTA V, we have sold 32.5m units in to date, which is extraordinary. 70 per cent of people that have played GTA V while online have played GTA Online, which is a free-to-play experience. And recurrent consumer spending related to GTA Online represented nearly half of our digitally delivered revenue in the quarter. So people are voting that they want to stay engaged and they are voting with their wallets."

Amazon revealed that Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version will not be compatible for Windows 8, Monitoring Crunch reports.

The retail site posted the PC version of GTA 5 to be for PCs up to Windows 7 only.
