Megan Fox And Brian Austin Green Baby Name Inspired From Buddhism, 'Transformers' Actress Names Newborn Boy 'Bodhi' Meaning 'Enlightenment', Mark Webber Teresa Palmer Follow Suit

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green baby name for their newborn is inspired from Buddhism. The now 11-day baby boy has been christened 'Bodhi Ransom Green', according to the tot's birth certificate, a copy of which has been obtained by TMZ.

The word 'Bodhi' in Buddhism denotes a person who is on his way to attain the state of 'enlightenment' or 'nirvana.' Megan's reps were unavailable to comment on the 'Transformers' actress' choice of name for her second born. The 27-year old gave birth to 'Bodhi' on February 12, 2014 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in West Hollywood.

'Bodhi Ransom Green' is her second baby with the actor Brian Austin Green. The couple, who tied the knot in 2010 also have a two year old son Noah Shannon and 12-year old son Kassius Lijah Marcil - born to Vanessa Marcil, Brian's ex-girlfriend.

Media outlets expected the power couple to choose to a weird sounding moniker for their newborn son, as the trend has currently been in the entertainment industry. Last year, the winsome beauty Kate Winslet named her newborn son 'Bear,' classified by paparazzi amongst the most uncommon (read: weird) celebrity baby names.

The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' actress and husband are not alone in their liking for the Buddhist spiritual name. According to Daily Mail, the Australian actress Teresa Palmer and husband, American actor Mark Webber have also named their son as 'Bodhi Rain,' born on Monday, February 16, 2014.

The 'Warm Bodies' actress announced the birth of her baby by posting an Instagram image of 'Bodhi Rain's hands as they clutch her diamond clad engagement-ring finger.

"Thank you God for blessing us with the most divine gift of our baby son," read the photo caption. Mark Webber and Teresa Palmer were married in December last year.
