As "Supernatural" heads towards its spin off backdoor pilot, the cast for "Tribes" has been updated with a "Vampire Diaries" alum!

According to TVLine, Kol from "The Vampire Diaries" will join the "Supernatural" spin off.

Reportedly, "Tribes" is a "sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly-to-humans 'run' the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly-minted Hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural."

Nathaniel Buzolic will play David Hayden in the "Supernatural" spin off, a shapeshifter from one of the ruling monster families who has given it all up to live a human life.

Buzolic will be joined by actor Lucien Laviscount, who will play Ennis Roth, the new Hunter who is looking for vengeance after his fiancée is killed in a monster war crossfire.

For "Supernatural" fans, be sure to tune in to episode 20 of this season, as it will serve as the backdoor pilot for the spin off.

According to Hollywood Reporter, "Supernatural" writer Andrew Dabb will pen the script, and will executive produce alongside Eric Kripke, Robert Singer, and showrunners Jeremy Carver and McG.

The "Supernatural" spin off backdoor pilot will air on April 29.
