Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Next-Gen YotaPhone Rumored To Be Launched At MWC 2014, Boasts Better Specs, Still Packs Dual-Screens

Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Remember the YotaPhone? Yeah, that Android smartphone that has two screens, one in front and one at the back. Rumors are pointing to a possible launch of its successor at the MWC in Barcelona next week.

According to a report from Android Authority, sources from Russia are claiming that the successor of the highly controversial handset may be announced next week at MWC. However, given the company's previous track record, even if the announcement would be made next week, the actual launch of device may be months away.

During last year's MWC, the first YotaPhone was announced, but it was almost a year until it finally hit the market. As a result, its specs are below-par to industry standards, and the ones who would buy it would only do so because of the cool dual-screen feature.

The current YotaPhone packs a 4.3-inch HD (720p) display in front and a 4.3-inch e-ink display at the back, a 1.7GHz dual-core CPU, Snapdragon S4 processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Other specs include 32GB of internal storage and an 1,800mAh battery.

Indeed all of these specs are considered midrange, but if the next YotaPhone would be unveiled next week, we will expect more from the Russian company - and that includes a much faster launch date.

At $600-675, the dual-displayed handset is certainly not enticing as far as pricing is concerned. We'll get you more details about the 2nd generation YotaPhone as soon as they're available.
