‘Batman Vs Superman’ Cast Rumors: Cyborg In The Film? Another Set Of Secret Casting Calls Trigger Speculations!

"Batman Vs Superman" continues the string of cast rumors. The latest cast rumors concern a rumored casting call for a very specific actor. The possibility of Cyborg being in the film is actually not much of a surprise though.

In "Man of Steel," viewers already noted some easter eggs that give valuable clues to the next possible characters that will appear in the DC Movie Universe. Since "Man Of Steel" is tasked to introduce everything, the clues will have to start in their film.

One of the notable Easter eggs there is Star Labs. Empire Online pointed out that one of the scientists in  "Man of Steel" has a direct connection:

"In the comics, S.T.A.R. Labs is a research organisation blessed with a S.H.I.E.L.D.-like acronym (it's short for Science and Technology Advanced Research, by the way). In the film you learn that Richard Schiff's world-saving scientist Dr. Emil Hamilton works for them, which is important when you realise that much-loved DC hero Cyborg (real name: Victor Stone) gets all his mechanical equipment from their science folk. So far, all Goyer has said on the S.T.A.R. Labs / Cyborg connection is this: 'Yes, that's kind of a connection to Cyborg.'"

At this point, we move on to El Mayimbe, the scoop specialist for Latino Review. He was one of the first to sound off on the "female casting role" that turned out to be Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. The track record is far from spotless, but since he has confirmed rumors (his batting average with casting is better), this is a possibility:

"According to sources, the production is currently looking for a black actor in his early 20s who is also physically fit. Here is the kicker though: the part is for a small role in the untitled Batman Vs Superman movie BUT will be recurring in other upcoming DCU films."

The possibility is that the character will have a brief introductory cameo then assume a role as one of the Justice League. Screenrant puts one and one together to figure out that it's Cyborg:

"Could Warners and DC be adding Cyborg to the mix? Man of Steel star Henry Cavill has publicly stated that he'd like to see the character show up at some point, and among the many and varied Easter Eggs peppered throughout the Superman reboot, the references to Dr. Emil Hamilton (played by The West Wing's Richard Schiff) and S.T.A.R. labs are big clues that some version of Cyborg (not to mention Doomsday) could appear."

It could also be consistent to super hero teams building more global appeal. More black characters are being added: Black Falcon, Bishop and a black Human Torch to name a few.
