According to TMZ, the reason a One Direction break up can't happen for a while is because the band owes the label three records before they can even think of calling it quits and going solo.

Instead, the boys are simply writing songs separately while on break before their "Where We Are" world tour, which is set to kick off this spring, starting off in South America in April. When they get together again to prepare for their tour, the One Direction boys will "compare notes with each other to come up with final versions," TMZ reports.

Meanwhile, Liam Payne and Harry Styles denied rumors of a One Direction split.

Payne told Capital FM: "We're not splitting up, we're writing our next album."

The 1D singer added: "People say we don't work hard and it's all a game and whatever.

"We just wanna make good music, and this album - honestly, every lad out there tonight who's thinking One Direction are this and that. Literally, next album - pick up our album and see what you feel."

Harry Styles previously told Britain's The Sun newspaper, "We're not breaking up. We've spent every day together for months and I forgot what my mum looked like! It's just holidays."

In a recent interview with Billboard, One Direction's mentor, Simon Cowell, said that "eventually they probably will split up and maybe want to have their own careers."

But this shouldn't come anytime soon: "From what I hear, they're really enjoying what they're doing and and we don't feel there's anything seriously wrong here," Simon also told the magazine.

"We just love what we're doing right now," Liam added. "We've got no intention to change that."

Niall said, "I have my four best mates on the road with me to keep me from getting lonely. Wouldn't give it up for anything."
