Xbox One Vs. PS4: Titanfall For Free? Microsoft Releases New Bundle

Microsoft has announced that it will release a limited edition Titanfall Xbox One bundle when the game launches on March 11, GameSpot.com reports.

"To celebrate the launch of Titanfall, we wanted to do something special," Xbox One executive Yusuf Mehdi said in the announcement, the site reports.

"For those of you who are already fans of Xbox One, we hope this will encourage more of your friends to join you on day one for Titanfall on Xbox One. If you've been waiting for the biggest game of the generation before purchasing your Xbox One, this special, limited time offer is perfect for you."

Titanfall beta testing video has been released and is rumored to offer competition against long-dominating Playstation 4 titles.

The first-person shooter will arrive in March for the Microsoft console.

Sony's Chief Executive of Computer Entertainment, said he was "thrilled" by sales figures that confirmed 5.3m PS4s have been sold globally compared to 3.9m Xbox Ones, and many gamers are citing Microsoft's next-generation console's graphics and specs flaws as potential reasons.

Microsoft Studio manager Mike Ybarra recently tweeted about dropping the price of Xbox One downloads to compete with physical discs, Forbes reports.

"Lot of people asked for better deals on our digital marketplace, so we're testing some...," he tweeted, before announcing a sale on Ryse: Son of Rome for $39.99, Forbes also reports.

Respawn has released a demo of Titanfall on the Xbox One and is allowing gamers to test the servers on its beta version.

Respawn founder Vince Zampella said that the engineering team had requested a bigger server workload after the demo plan was originally to hold a limited test, The Inquirer reports.

Later he added that some data centres might have been nearing capacity, and he worked on dealing with messages from people experiencing issues and reporting bugs, the Inquirer also reports.
