Android apps free download: Android users who are looking for a reliable anti-virus and security app for their smartphones may have tried a number of apps, but nothing beats a world-renowned name in the field of system security. 

According to a report by Android Authority, McAfee has announced a new version of their Android app - namely a free edition. 

In the report, Intel plans to "make security a more integrated part of the consumer experience". 

 The new McAfee app provides security in connecting in public Wi-Fi-enabled areas "with confidence, knowing that McAfee will alert [you] to any risky or non-password protected networks that [you] may be connecting to." 

Other features are pretty standard including, an app manager, anti-virus, theft protection and a lot more. 

Of course, there is a premium edition which costs $2.99, but you may want to check first the free version if you want to get the full edition.
