Watch Dogs release date was originally planned for 2013, however, it was delayed until this year across all gaming platforms. According to Digital Spy, delaying the release of Watch Dogs was an 'intense decision' for its publisher Laurent Detoc, Ubisoft executive, shared to IGN, "It's a very intense decision."

He further shared, "You have to say, 'this is in the best interest of the product, to do this,' because at the end of the day we're going to be able to do this extra fine tuning."

As posted on Digital Spy, Watch Dogs release date is scheduled at some point between April to June for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. Meanwhile, the publication site also noted that the Wii U version "has been further delayed to focus resources."

"Watch Dogs," developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, is an open-world action adventure video game set in a fictionalized version of Chicago, Illionois. As described on the official website of the game reads, players will "enter the world of hacker Aiden Pearce who can use the high-tech city of Chicago as a weapon."
