Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie: Producer Michael Bay Extorted By Two ‘Drugged Up Guys’ In Hong Kong, Men Were ‘Belligerent Asses To His Crew’

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Movie: In recent reports, Michael Bay was extorted by two Chinese men in their set of the upcoming Transformers movie in Hong Kong. Michael Bay, who is producing the Turtles movie and the Transformers movie wrote on his blog that the assailants were "drugged up guys" who were being "belligerent asses to my crew for hours in the morning of our first shoot day in Hong Kong."

"That's when the security jumped on him. But it took seven big guys to subdue him. It was like a zombie in Brad Pitt's movie World War Z -- he lifted seven guys up and tried to bite them. He actually bit into one of the guard's Nike shoe, insane. Thank god it was an Air Max, the bubble popped, but the toe was saved," he wrote.

The assailants, who were named Mak Chi-hang and his younger brother Mak Chi-shing, refused to comply with Bay's crew during shoot when the two were making noise during the set shooting. They failed to close their air-conditioner repair shop or turn down loud music in shooting a scene in the Quarry Bay district of Hong Kong. The district court heard how a crewmember had approached the brothers the day before and they had agreed to compensation of $129 (HK$1,000). But on the day of filming, the younger brother demanded $12,9000 (HK$100,000).

The younger brother received two-and-a-half-years in jail and the older brother gets six months in jail for resisting arrest.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Movie, which will be produced by Michael Bay, is expected to be out August of this year.

The reboot of the turtles will be done and created via motion-capture. Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, and Jeremy Howard were casted to play as Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello in this summer's much anticipated release.

If Transformers wasn't enough, Michael Bay is bringing another childhood classic back in the big screen for some full-on action.

Familiar faces from Bay's former movies will also be seen in the reboot of TMNT as Megan Fox has been reported to play the role of reporter April O'Neil. Fox was in Bay's Transformers movie and was the lead character in the first few movies.

Jonathan Liebesman, who directed a lot of reputable movies like the Wrath Of The Titans, Battle: Los Angeles and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, will be the one directing the reboot of the cartoon pizza-eating classic.

In an interview with moviefone.com last April 2013, Bay was asked his approach on this film because fans thought at first that they would make the turtle's enemies aliens, which weirded out fans.

Michael Bay said in the interview: "There was that quote saying that we're making [the Ninja Turtles as] aliens. We're not. It's the ooze! It's from the original source material. These are from the original writers, and I never went out to correct myself in the press. I do listen to the fans and I do want this to be authentic. I think they're going to be really happy with this movie. When I see the digital stuff, the turtles look great."
