‘Homeland’ Season 4 Premiere Date 2014 Leaked? Episode 1 Air Date Revealed By Google; Spoilers Reveal Brody’s Wife Won’t Return

The "Homeland" season 4 premiere date 2014 may have been leaked by Google! The air date of episode 1 is coming this fall, but now we may have a specific date. Meanwhile, recent spoilers reveal that Morena Baccarin, who plays Brody's wife Jessica, won't return as a series regular for "Homeland" season 4.

The "Homeland" season 4 premiere date has been unclear ever since the last episode of season 3 aired on December 15, 2013. But now when you type "Homeland" into Google, the search engine shows the air date of season 4, episode 1 as October 19, 2014 (see photo above).

While the premiere date of "Homeland" season 4 hasn't been confirmed, this is certainly some news to go on. However, The Epoch Times notes that a similar leak occurred for the premiere date of "Orange is the New Black," which turned out to be incorrect.

Meanwhile, spoilers for "Homeland" season 4 reveal that Morena Baccarin, who plays Jessica Brody, was downgraded from being a series regular and just signed on to a new ABC medical drama, "Warriors," The Hollywood Reporter and RTE confirmed. This suggests that Baccarin is unlikely to appear often after "Homeland" season 4 premieres in the fall. Baccarin's absence may not come as a shock - she rarely appeared in the third season, due to her pregnancy. She was in her third trimester for much of production.

"Homeland" showrunner Alex Gansa told The Hollywood Reporter in October that he had planned on cutting back her scenes: "She's not physically onscreen a lot, but her presence is there in a profound way for Brody and for Carrie," he said.

Baccarin's portrayal of Jessica Brody earned her an Emmy nomination for supporting actress.
