Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Members: ‘Civilization Revolution’ And ‘Dungeon Defenders’ Available This March; Updates About Free Xbox One Titles Coming ‘Fairly Soon’

The two free games for Xbox Live Gold members this March have been announced.

According to a post on Gamespot, Microsoft will offer "Civilization Revolution" and "Dungeon Defenders" as the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members this March, as part of its ongoing program called "Games with Gold."

The "Games with Gold" campaign aims to provide two free games for Xbox Live Gold members each. The first game is released on the 1st day of the month, and will then be replaced by the second title on the 16th. Currently, the titles offered on the Games With Gold program is only available for Xbox 360 but Microsoft executive Phil Spencer previously shared updates about free Xbox One titles will be available "fairly soon".

Beginning tomorrow, March 1, gamers will be able to download the strategy hit game, "Civilization Revolution." Regularly priced at $30 and developed by Firaxis Games with Sid Meier, Civilization Revolution will be available for 0 Microsoft points until March 15.

As described on Metacritic, "Civilization Revolution offers players a chance to experience the epic empire-building world of Civilization in an all new accessible, visually immersive, and action-packed world specifically designed for the console and handheld gamer."

And then on March 16, Civilization Revolution will be replaced by the second free game for Xbox Live Gold members, which is "Dungeon Defenders." The co-op action role-playing game from Trendy Entertainment, which comes with a regular price tag of $15 is a combination of two game genres --the tower defense and action RPG. According to its Wikipedia page, it "takes place in a fantasy setting where players control the young apprentices of wizards and warriors and defend against hordes of monsters."

Before grabbing your own copy of "Civilization Revolution" and "Dungeon Defenders", make sure to check out "Toy Soldiers: Cold War" first, as today is its last day of being one of the free games for Xbox Live Gold members for February.
