Upcoming HTC phones 2014: After getting announced on Monday at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona, the midrange HTC Desire 816 allegedly gets a tentative price tag in China.  

During its launch at MWC, the phone is said to be priced below $300 in the world's largest smartphone market. Today, a report provides a more specific price tag. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, the smartphone will be priced at ¥1799 or about $294 in China. 

That's certainly a great bargain for the HTC handset which boasts midrange specs but gets a stylish polycarbonate design. 

In case you missed it the HTC packs a 5.5" display with HD (720p) resolution, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, quad-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, a 13MP camera and 8GB of internal memory. 

Let's just wait for the device to hit international markets and hope the pricing does not get too steep.
