Janet Jackson Divorce Rumors Are Lies; Janet Jackson Not After Husband Wissam Al Mana Billion Dollar Net Worth

Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are not getting a divorce. Rumors are flying that Janet Jackson was after husband Wissam Al Mana's billion dollar net worth. Michael Jackson's baby sister Janet Jackson says it's not true.

Rumors about Janet Jackson's divorce started at the National Enquirer. But a source told Entertainment Tonight that "The rumors about their marriage are a lie. They are very happy and very much together. In fact, the couple has recently purchased an even larger home in New York."

Neither Janet Jackson nor Wissam Al Mana confirmed that they are not divorcing.

Wissam Al Mana is a Middle East fashion tycoon. Janet Jackson's husband runs the family business, Al Mana Retail, with his two brothers. He is worth over a billion dollars.

The Janet Jackson divorce rumors first appeared in the National Enquirer. An insider told the magazine that  Janet Jackson realized she made a mistake and wanted out of the marriage. The source claimed Janet and Wissam were in a "bitter divorce battle over [Mana's] billion-dollar fortune could be about to explode."

The source told National Enquirer that Janet Jackson "confided to a few close friends and (her mother) Katherine that she's preparing to leave him. And she's begun calling friends at all hours crying and saying how miserable she is. . . Janet is getting set to challenge the prenup and demand a flat lump sum payout from his fortune."

Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana married in a private ceremony two years ago. Jackson's famous family didn't even know about it until a year later. LaToya Jackson said she learned about the wedding "through the media."

Jackson announced the marriage on her website, JanetJackson.com this February. Janet said she and Al Mana have been married since 2012. Janet Jackson also denied reports that the ceremony was extravagant.

On a website called "Wissam and Janet Happily Married" Jackson wrote "We were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet."
