Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: Rooted Nokia X Runs Android Apps With No Problems, Can Now Run Even Google Now Launcher

Upcoming Nokia phones 2014: Nokia has just released what everyone was looking for - an Android phone. But while some people were disappointed with its lack of support for Google apps and services, Android ROM developers at the XDA Developers forum aren't.

According to a recent report blog by GSM Arena, the Nokia X already been rooted by a developer, and it looked like it wasn't difficult.

As a result, the phone is now able to download and run Google apps and services through the Play Store - not Nokia's.

Considering the Nokia X's decent price tag, getting it rooted will provide you an overall Android experience packed with Nokia's high quality hadrware.

We haven't seen any rooted versions for the Nokia X+ and XL, but we are pretty sure they will be on their way in the coming weeks.

But while you're waiting, you may want to check out this video showing the fresh Nokia phone running the Google Now Launcher.

So, with this rooted Nokia X, can you consider it as 'real' Android handset?
