Project Ara Now Owned By Google After Motorola Sale, See How Its Components Would Swap When It Becomes Official

Project Ara: After waiting for months, we finally see that the modular phone concept has become a reality for Google. And it is already one of the most anticipated handsets today with the expected pricing.

Yesterday, we read reports that the once Motorola Project Ara has become Google Ara after Motorola was bought by Lenovo for $2.9 billion.

Then, we noticed that the search giant did not include Project Ara in the sale. Now we know why.

So what are we expecting from this new handset which would probably run on Google's Android mobile platform?

During the LAUNCH tech conference, one of the team members explained in detail the different features of the Google Ara. He even demonstrated how its components can be swapped in and out of the base frame.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the device will come in three sizes: a 4-incher, 5-inch phone and an even bigger one, probably near the 6-inch category.

Here's a video of the entire demo:

In case you were not that satisfied with the releases at CES and MWC 2014, and you are looking for something that is really revolutionary, then you may want to mark your calendars on April 15 and 16 with the developer conference for the Google Ara.
