John Travolta Oscars Flub Out Overshadows New Roles; Stars With Salma Hayek; Can John Travolta Pronounce Gummy Bears?

John Travolta's hairline, or hair piece, at the Oscars is getting as much buzz as his pronunciation of Idina Menzel, but Travolta's parts aren't getting cut.

John Travolta has two very different roles coming soon. Tavolta will play in the drama "A Three Dog Life" and lend his voice to the animated film Gummy Bear.

John Travolta and Salma Hayek are set to co-star in the upcoming drama "A Three Dog Life." The last time John Travolta and Salma Hayek acted in the same film, it was for the Oliver Stone film "Savages" but Travolta and Hayek they didn't have any screen together.

"A Three Dog Life" is based on the best-selling memoir by Abigail Thomas. It is being produced by J. Todd Harris and Clark Peterson. John Travolta will play a man whose brain is destroyed by a car crash. He suffers hallucinations and bouts of rage. The character is institutionalized to control the side effects.

John Travolta, the 59 year-old father and Academy Award-nominated actor, will be married to Salma Hayeks. Salma Hayek will play Abigail Thomas. The fears of losing a life partner is something Travolta tragically learned when lost his long-time girlfriend, Diana Hyland, in 1977 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

In a Statement, producers Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel said in a statement picked up by Variety. "Nick has adapted Thomas' heart-wrenching memoir flawlessly, capturing the intimate details of how her marriage is put to the test following a life-changing accident. John and Salma are the perfect pair to portray this couple's journey over the course of several years."

"A Three Dog Life" was written and will be directed by Nick Guthe, who made "Mini's First Time." The John Travolta and Salma Hayek film is being produced by Guthe, J. Todd Harris and Clark Peterson.

John and Salma are the perfect pair to portray this couple's journey over the course of several years."

The award-winning "A Three Dog Life" was published in 2006 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. In September 2013, it popped up as No. 1 on The New York Times Bestseller list.

John Travolta also signed on to play "Gummy Bear." In 2012, Gummy Bear went viral, pulling in 3.6 billion downloads. Gummy Bear film will be written by George Gallo who wrote bad-boys. Travolta  and his friends, a vegetarian vampire bat, a cat and a chameleon, go to battle for the survival of an alien planet.

Hayek will be seen next in "Muppets Most Wanted" and will be shooting the film "Everly."
