One Direction New Album 2014: Pharrell Williams Will Collaborate? Liam Payne Says ‘Every Lad’ Should Give Record A Listen After Release Date

Will Pharrell Williams collaborate with One Direction on their new album, which is set to release in 2014? Liam Payne hinted that Pharrell Williams may be on the new album, and that more guys should give the record a listen when it drops.

One Direction talked to Capital FM at the BRIT Awards 2014, where they revealed that they are hoping Liam Payne and Pharrell can write together for their new album.

"He is a friend of mine, that is as well as I can put it," Liam said.

Niall  Horan explained: "We've been writing the new album at the minute, and hopefully we can get Pharrell, if Liam is willing.

"And I will do that trip with you, to go to America to meet Mr. Pharrell Williams, we'll go and write a tune!" he added.

Liam also revealed that One Direction has already been working on twelve brand new tracks for their next record, the follow-up to 2013's "Midnight Memories."

Liam Payne also hinted that the new album will be geared more towards guys than any other previous album.

"People say we don't work hard and it's all a game and whatever. We just wanna make good music, and this album - honestly, every lad out there tonight who's thinking One Direction are this and that. Literally, next album - pick up our album and see what you feel," he told showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes at the BRIT Awards 2014.

One Direction will release "Midnight Memories" on March 9 as their latest single from their album of the same name, CapitalFM reports.
