Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: Expect The Xperia Z2 Icons, Features And Apps To Arrive To Your Handsets Soon As System Dump Gets Released

Upcoming Sony phones 2014: Announced a week ago at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Sony Xperia Z2 is one heck of a flagship device. In the next coming weeks, your phone may have a shot at getting a number of features exclusive for Sony's newest Xperia.

In a report by GSM Arena, the system dump of the newly-announced handset has allegedly been made available for developers around the world.

Those at XDA Developers forum would surely be delighted to know that the Xperia Z2's features would soon come to their devices, even if they are already a couple of years old!

Unfortunately, that may not be as easy as it sounds for devices whose specs are far from the Xperia Z2's. Some serious tweaking should first be done in order for the software build to function properly in other devices.

But given the reputation these developers at XDA have, it would not take long enough.

Just imagine Android Kitkat getting announced in October, and the following month it has already been made available in dozens of devices which would never get the update via OTA. Of course, there would be bugs and minor problems, but for people who want to get the most out of their years-old devices, it is worth the risk.
