'Sailor Moon' Fans Reject 'Pretty Cure' Anime Style For 2014 Reboot: Remake Attracts 'Majestic Prince' Animator And 'Gatchaman Crowds' Art Directors Before July Release Date!

As the highly anticipated "Sailor Moon" 2014 reboot prepares for its July release date, speculation regarding the art style of the remake has intensified.

As most Sailor Moon fans know, the reboot plans to have a July worldwide release date, and will be streamed via Nico Nico Douga.

Recently, CrunchyRoll has unveiled some key staff members who will be responsible for bringing the "Sailor Moon" 2014 reboot back to life. This includes "Majestic Prince" animator Yukie Sako.

What this most likely means that Sako will play a key role in the look of the "Sailor Moon" 2014 reboot.

In addition, Takashi Kurahashi and Yumi Kosaka will work as art directors, while Yasuharu Takanashi will be responsible for music duties.

Kurahashi and Kosaka both come from "Gatchaman Crowds" as art directors, while Takanashi come from popular magical girl series "Pretty Cure."

With such a diverse team with illustrious resumes, fans are starting to wonder what art style the 2014 reboot will bring to update Naoko Takeuchi's designs.

"I hope that they don't make a childish character design like in ['Pretty Cure']. The original Sailor Moon characters had quite a mature design which I think made them look strong! Plus the anime I find more relatable now as a teenager rather than a child," writes KiraKumi.

"'Majestic Prince' character design was mature. It was also retro without smacking you in the face with it. Still, I hope he doesn't alter Naoko Takeuchi's designs too much. Or at all," adds BunnyKun.

What kind of "Sailor Moon" 2014 reboot art style would you want? The original as it is, or something more contemporary?
