Android apps free download: If you loved WinRAR for Windows and you have been waiting for ages to get the same application for your Android device, then I'm glad to inform you that your prayers have been answered. 

After what it seemed like ages, the official RAR application has finally arrived to the Play Store, and it is still free like the Windows version. 

Now, the app appears to be completely free, though we do not know whether it will come with in-app purchases in the future. And even if it does, most people would not even think about buying it because the app can already stand by itself with the functions it can do. 

According to the report by Android Police, the RAR app for Android lets you create ZIP and RAR archives, but you can unpack RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, 7z, ISO, ARJ archives. There are also options to fix damaged archives, and even to gauge your device through an in-app benchmark. 

While the app offers tons of features, the design is still too simple, which is not entirely a bad thing. It just reminds you of the old classic RAR program you always use on your Windows PC.
