Mothra Shobijin Twins Spotted In Godzilla 2014 Trailer [PHOTO]: Will Iconic Kaiju Join Muto In Gareth Edwards Movie?

As fans continue to dissect the "Godzilla" 2014 trailer, an interesting photo has surfaced showcasing an Easter Egg that could hint at the appearance of Mothra in the upcoming movie.

Recently, director Gareth Edwards revealed that the "Godzilla" trailer has a lot of hints at what the movie may entail besides the appearance of our favorite monster.

"It's kind of a little treasure map for fans to try and figure out what this all means," teases Edwards to Empire magazine.

"There are little glimpses in here of what our film might contain, and I don't want to spoil it, but if you freeze frame some of them, I think there are some obvious things that might be implied."

One such implication comes from a particular screen grab of the 2014 "Godzilla" trailer, where we see two small human figures standing on the edge of a destroyed building.

They appear to be wearing identical yellow clothing, and fans immediately latched onto this detail to mean one thing-the Shobijin Twins.

In the Godzilla mythology, the Shobijin are two small priestesses or fairies that accompany Mothra and speak on her behalf.

However, some believe that these two figures are simply firefighters, and it is purely a coincident that they are wearing the same color clothing as the Shobijin Twins.

What do you think of this in conjunction with the "Godzilla" 2014 trailer? Do you think this is a hint at the appearance of Mothra, or do you think it is simply a red herring?
