James Harden had 21 points and 11 assists while Terrence Jones added 19 points and 12 rebounds for Houston (41-19), which has won 12 of 14. The Rockets placed all five starters in double figures in points, according to ESPN.com.
"We are a balanced team," Howard said. "We have balanced scoring. We have a lot of guys who can put the ball in the hole but I don't think that should be our focus. The focus should be on stopping guys."
Ever since losing Dwight Howard, Nikola Vucevic has stepped in his spot and scored six points and 11 rebounds on the night Howard returned a season ago for what resulted in a victory over Magic.
"It was a big game, it was Dwight's first game in Orlando since he left here," Vucevic said. "The arena was packed and obviously playing the Lakers, so there was kind of a special intensity."
Vucevic is averaging 19.0 points and 13.5 rebounds in his last four games.
"If he gets it going, it's very hard so you've got to do your work early, try to limit him as much as you can, keep him as much as I can away from the paint," Vucevic said. "I'm going to do my best, it's going to be a tough task but I'm looking forward to it."
