Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date: The Netherlands First To Get New High-End Device With 5.1" Screen, 2GB RAM, Pricing Starts At €699.99

Samsung Galaxy S5 release date: More than a week after it was announced, it looks like retailers from all over the world are already preparing for pre-orders for the Galaxy S5. And in a new report, the Netherlands may get it first. 

As usual, Europe may be the first region to get the Android-powered device. According to a new report from GSM Arena, the latest addition to Samsung's Galaxy S series has already been made available for pre-order in the Netherlands. 

In the report, pricing for the device will begin at €699.99 for the unlocked and sim-free model. Meanwhile, carriers such as T-Mobile, Vodafone and KPN are accepting pre-orders as well. 

Vodafone offers the gold version of the device, and can be obtained through a 2-year contract at €50 per month. The other two carriers charge a slightly higher price at €55 per month for the next 24 months. 

On the other hand, carrier Orange in Romania is also offering the Galaxy S5 for pre-orders with rates starting at €249 for a twii-year contract, or €699.99 for the unlocked version. 

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is set to be officially available on April 11.
