Reign has received flak right in its first episode because of steamy scenes. Despite being blatant that they are targeting 18 to 34 year olds, show's mother network CW was still castigated because of a steamy masturbation scene. This scene, which has caused the show to tone down, involved Queen of Scottland (Adelaide Kane) who along with other young women watched a newlywed couple doing it on the bed and felt the urge to play with themselves.

The show seems to be going back to this kind of scenario in its March 6 episode, the 13^th of the season. In new Reign Season 1 spoiler released by Entertainment Weekly, it said that the show will feature sex scenes that are "too hot for TV."

The CW, which targets adults 18-34, would not comment on what exactly happens in the Reign scenes, but a spokesperson noted the network is not adding R-rated content here - just offering a more sexually intense edit of the existing program. One scene is at the start of the episode and the other is near the end. The latter involves Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane), who this week chooses between King Henry II's two sons who have been vying for her love. The on-air version will air Thursday at 9 p.m.; the online version will be posted on The CW's site Friday morning.

The episode will be called "The Consummation" and aside from the bed scenes, the plot that got the audience really excited about is the wedding of Mary to a yet-to-be determined groom. According to previous spoilers, Mary will be forced to wed either Prince Torrance Coombs' Sebastian (Bash) or Toby Regbo's Prince Francis. The decision on who to choose won't be entirely her own because whoever she marries, that would impact her family's life heavily.

Once the episode is up, three new twists are expected to shock fans. Wet Paint website reported that one major character will rise from the dead. Mary and her mother will also show how much uncomfortable they are with each other.
