#Poor Leo Meme Goes Viral As Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscars 2014 Attempt Failed; ‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ Actor Gains Public’s Support Despite Lack Of Oscar Statuette

Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscars 2014 win did not come true which made his fans devastated beyond words.  This year, the actor lost to Matthew McConaughey who took home the coveted Best Actor award for his 'Dallas Buyers Club' performance.

While the 'Wolf of Wall Street' actor did not bring home an Oscar statuette, fans expressed their support on various social networking sites. #Poor Leo Tumblr photos and memes quickly went viral.  On Twitter, the hashtags #PoorLeo and #GiveLeoAnOscar became trending topics.

Fans have expressed their thoughts on DiCaprio's loss:

"So many of us fans wanted you to win the Oscar, Leo. I've always admired your work - you are an exceptional actor. Just keep on keepin on and the time will come when all the awards will come raining down on you. You are just too talented and good to be ignored forever," says Goku Karen.

Jose Garcia praises the actor's latest film: "No doubt in my mind Leo should have won the Oscar for Best Actor. His performance was spectacular in 'Wolf of Wall Street'. The movie was awesome and the entire cast was great."

For Mara Zak, something's wrong with the award-giving body: "The Academy didn't understand LEONARDO DICAPRIO's talent!"
