Columbus is 15-6-1 since New Year's Day.  The Blue Jackets remain solidly in the mix for the postseason picture and Artem Anisimov is leading the charge. He scored twice in the victory against Dallas and has scored the game-winning goal in each game of the current winning streak, according to NHL.com as they will play the rest of the season with Marion Gaborik, who was traded to the L.A. Kings on Wednesday.

"He might be as good as we've seen him in a Columbus uniform," Columbus coach Todd Richards told the Columbus Dispatch. "Two huge goals for us [against the Stars], especially the last one with the way the game was going. I'm repetitive when I talk about him. He's a trustworthy guy and you're starting to see the skill that he has. He's starting to finish.

The Blackhawks lost 4-2 to Colorado on Tuesday. It marked the first game without forward Marian Hossa, who will be sidelined for two to three weeks with an upper-body injury. Chicago still outshot Colorado 38-21, but could only convert twice.

"I think we outchanced and outplayed them," coach Joel Quenneville told NHL.com. "I didn't like any of the goals that went in tonight. It was one of those games."

St. Louis won, stretching its lead on the Blackhawks and Colorado crept within a point of Chicago in the standings.

"We lost a lot of ground tonight," Quenneville told the team's official website. "You look at the four-point swing (against the Blues), so now we're behind and Colorado's one point (back). But a lot of things can change, and I'd love to move ahead, and we'd love to finish first in our division."
