Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones got over their divorce rumors, and his 91-year-old mother just confirmed that they are indeed back together, as the "Behind the Candelabra" actor's ex-fiancee was found murdered in her Aspen, Colorado home.

"I knew they would work it out. They're both gentle people ... They've always been very affectionate and easy (with each other)," Diana Dill told NY Daily News.

She admitted that while they haven't really asked the couple about their marital problems, she recognized that Michael Douglas' battle with throat cancer and Catherine Zeta-Jones' own struggles with bipolar disorder could have put a strain in their relationship.

Diana Dill described Catherine Zeta-Jones, 44, as an open, funny and a very realistic person, while Michael Douglas, 69, is a very understanding father, husband and son who is not the type to be overwhelmed by problems.

"He copes very well, he really does," she said as NY Daily News reported.

In talking about the divorce rumors hounding Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, she said: "They're private about it. I just figured the more everybody stayed out of it the better."

Her statements were confirmed by Michael Douglas' father-in-law Donald Webster who revealed to the publication that the couple have been spending a lot of time together with the children in the last two months.

Meanwhile, Nancy Pfister, who was once engaged to Michael Douglas, was reportedly murdered by her tenants. Her body was found on February 26,RadarOnline reported.

The murder suspects, according to the gossip site, William Francis Styler II, 65, and his wife Nancy Styler, 62, were arrested by authorities on Monday.

Juliana Pfister, the daughter of the murder victim, lashed out at the couple in an interview with ABC News. "How could someone just be so angry that they got kicked out of a house? There's got to be something more. It's hard to understand that."
