"Dark Souls 2" PC release date has finally been announced.

As posted on Gamespot, Namco Bandai revealed that Dark Souls 2 PC release date is set for April 25. Accordingly, the upcoming action role-playing game developed by From Software will launch for PC on Steam and other online and brick and mortar retail stores.

Accordingly, as posted on the game's official Facebook page, Dark Souls 2 PC version will feature "increased texture resolution" as well as an "enhanced framerate option."

Moreover, the post on Eurogamer reads, "The developer FromSoftware has been working to "perfectly adapt" the game for a mouse and keyboard."

As further cited on the publication site, Mathieu Piau, the marketing chief of Namco Bandai, told:

We're conscious of the high expectations from PC gamers and are working with FromSoftware in ensuring that the PC version of Dark Souls 2 offers the best experience possible.

He further said, "After an amazing first opus, Dark Souls 2 promises an even more engaging, richer and challenging adventure that should please all gamers, regardless of their platform of choice."

Dark Souls 2 PC is currently available for pre-order on Steam. Gamers who pre-purchase the title will be entitled to an early access to the Black Armor Weapon Set and a digital sountrack. Furthermore, preordering Dark Souls 2 will get the official artbook for the game in PDF format, as well as the complete digital comic book.

The post on Gamespot stated, "Publisher Bandai Namco announced recently that preorders for the game are up 50 percent over the 2011 original and that the publisher will invest £1 million ($1.6 million) into marketing the game in the United Kingdom alone."

Though the Dark Souls 2 PC release date has already been revealed, Namco Bandai has yet to announce the system requirements of the game. Check back on this site for more  updates regarding Dark Souls 2.

Meanwhile, the Dark Souls 2 release date for Xbox 360 and PS3 versions is already scheduled on March 11.
